- It is not an official association or industry regulator.
- It does not replace GS1 GTIN/EAN. If you already have one, you can provide it during registration.
- It does not guarantee automatic acceptance on marketplaces or ERPs. Each platform has its own standards.
- It is not a physical product authentication system. The registry confirms the presence of data, not the authenticity of the item.
